Madeyewlook and Glam and Gore

Hello Fxers and today I am going to talk to you about some of my favorite special effect makeup artists on YouTube. The first  one is Madeyewlook by Lex

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/QXh37PPo5uk/maxresdefault.jpg

Madeyewlook by Lex  is  self-taught makeup artist, and licensed esthetician who started a YouTube channel back in 2011 She is known for her amazing and out of this world tutorials that she makes look so easy but requires great skill. She is the one that got me so interested in special effect makeup. I thought that it was so cool that she was able to transform herself  into these beautiful creations ! She came out with her own Madeyewlook line in April 2015. The line consists of a series of brushes , a eyeliner pen, and I bunch of apparel that goes towards MadeUlook for a cure. She recently done a series of looks for people who were surfing from Diabetes. I thought it was very interesting how she created looks to rise awareness  for the cause on of my favorite looks from that is her Ketone look if you get a chance to watch I would recommend it

She was also in the nyx face awards. Which is a makeup contest sponsored by nyx makeup the concept is to make special effect makeup looks. Using all nyx products for your design with the exception of modeling bases to create scars fake skin or other extra parts.  Anyone on YouTube can enter and the sponsors will pick the  top 30 based on quality of the video and look , creativity of the video and look , presentation of the look and how to do it, and artistry of the look itself.  After this they will have 3 design rounds.  After  this it is all up to the fan base of these You Tubers  to decide if they move on to the next round. The top 6 goes to nyx headquarters to compete for the title . Lex made it into the final round but ended up not taking home the biggest prize unfortunately My favorite look form her time in the nyx face awards I will link below

Lex is a triple threat and if you are really into the idea of learning how to body paint that is her one  of her strongest areas. She explains everything really well and I have used many of her tips and tricks in looks I have created. I have yet to try out any of her body paint looks because I am currently waiting for my body paint kit to come in the mail but I look forward to trying some of these more detailed looks when that comes in  .

The next YouTuber  I want to talk to you guys about is Glam and Gore ! Glam and Gore is ran by  Mykie

https://cafiandglitterbeauty.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/mykie5.png

who  is a professional beauty and special effects makeup artist. She created her YouTube channel back in April 2014 and by this October she surpassed nearly 1 million subscribers. As someone who loves YouTube videos and someone who is really into video production Mykie is perfection for her looks down to her videos especially for just starting out on YouTube not even a year ago.  One of my favorite videos of all time form her is a YouTube video she posted this Halloween about the top ten Halloween costumes it starts out as your typical risky Halloween costumes for the first to then just keep getting more advance and creepy and the quality and the effects are amazing.

Glam and Gore has entered the 2015 nyx face awards and won !! !! I will link the winning look below. Glam and Gore has taught me a lot from how to take simple stuff like bruising and take it to the next level from how to make fake realistic prosthetics form just two simple house hold products she is the best of the best and I inspire that I will be just half as creative as she is one day  here is her winning nyx face awards look

is a truly unique two-part silicone modeling and casting compound. It sets in less than five minutes, it is clear which can be colored with silicone pigment or makeup (A little color goes a long way, don’t over do it on the color, you want to keep that translucent “skin” look). This silicone product is used to create wounds and deep gash effects on the skin. It can also be glued to the skin using itself as the adhesive. Effects can be peeled off and used again.
