Inspration post 5 !!!!! colors colors and more colors

Hi all for  my 5th design post I wanted to focus on color ! lets face it color is all around us and although back and white can be beautiful if we didn't have a little color in the world it be kind of boring . I took a bunch of photos around campus with the main focus being the color and I wanted to talk  with you about them today ! so lets get started .
This picture I want to share with you is the perfect example  of how black and white can be beautiful but a pop of color can take a picture to the next level the main  color pop in this picture is red and although black and white stand strong on there own I feel like the red really sticks out but in a good way!   The beauty of color splashing is the  mixing of black and white with a main color  together to make something new and exciting!

I wanted to do a photo comparisons with this photo and the next photo. They were taken form the same spot on top of the look out point behind building F I thought id share because I honestly never knew this existed  myself and I amuse I am not the only one. Color plays a major  role to bring the campus to life.  Anybody can tell just by walking around campus that we are very focused on having a lot of scenery to look at. I for one think that is fantastic because it really dose bring the campus to life. Even form this view !

This photo is taken form the opposite direction over looking the football filed I thought that I would manipulate  color by making green the main focus because Slippery Rocks colors are green and white. Again I think that the pop of one color against a natural background can really add a more intense effect to a rather plain and unexciting photo .

Avant-garde temped Creativity.Inspritation post 4

Hello Fxers and welcome back  this time around I wanted to do an Avant-grade make up for inspiration Avant-grade is anything new exciting or out there that artists come up with sense I have a love for both photography and being out there I thought I would share my photo shoot the makeup and the thought and editing behind the whole process  so lets get started with some pictures
This was probably one of the most changeling  shoots I ever did because I was blind shooting it was pitch black and the only light or angle or time I saw her was when the light of flash came on so that small frame of time was the only way I could adjust to take these night photos I think they came out pretty good for not being able to see

Makeup - the idea around the makeup was just to be crazy lots of blues to match her newly blue gray hair and hints of copper because I thought it added a different element  lots and lots of glitter

Shot -  Bust shot was done at night because I don't have a black drop or any sort of photography studio I like to work with whatever nature gives me

Edit ~ the makeup and her being the main focus of the photo the only editing required was to brighten the lips and eyes so they would draw in at main focus

Shot ~ wide shot to get the creepiness and back drop of the woods behind her I think this adds mystery to the shot because she is actually stand on a broken tree stump but at first glace it looks as if nothing is underneath her

Edit~ when editing this photo I wanted to make the background striking so even thought the model is the main focus you cant help but look at what's around her I used a darkening filter on just the background so it would be that much more intense and I once again brightened the lips and eyes
Shot ~ is a close up i wanted all eyes to be on her makeup and hair to achieve this all black background i put her on a path that was competle blackness for at less a couple of feet no tress in sight  and zoom in as close to her face while still getting the kind of shot that I wanted

Edit ~ for this edit a brightened the whole face makeup I wanted it all to be seen

Shot ~ full body for this shot I thought it be interesting  to keep the black background but have more in. So this shot was taken by a spillway that drops down really far . There was a bridge type crossing that she sat on top to make the overall photo more interesting
Edit ~ the edit was kept simple by brightening  the eyes and lips area and messing around with the lighting and the contrast.

The overall feel for this shot was supposed to be fun and out there and i for a random shoot that we decided  to do last minute  i think it came out really good.
Until next time Fxers  !!!

mermaid scales

Hello Fxers and welcome back sorry that my second post this week is a little late but I am going to show you how to make mermaid scales !!! so lets get started

What you will need

Pure Glycerin
Water
Gelatin
 a bowl
and something to mix with
a syringe
and some eye shadow
parchment paper
Fx glue (sprit gum will work but it is very hard to get it to stick )
Tip * quick sub for Fx glue just found this out yesterday actually glycerin and water

Steps

Step 1:  Put a half a cup of glycerin, 1/2 cup of gelatin , and 3/4 a cup of water into your bowl

Step 2 : Mix it up until all the products mix evenly then stop.  add your favorite color eye shadow to give your scales  some color

Step 3 Microwave for 12 seconds at time until you get a thick goo batter make sure not over microwave you will burn it or waste it because it wont thicken. Allow for it to cool before you pop it back in the microwave

Step 4 pour the hot liquid into your syringe and begin making small to medium circles on the parchment paper

Step 5 Start to layer the scales on top of each other to resemble that of a mermaid when you have what you are looking for glue it into place on your skin

This is what the finished product looks like with sprit gum it would of stuck a lot better if knowing the tip that I found out yesterday. until next time Fxers enjoy what last of your last night of thanksgiving break
